GIF Animations

Draw something or import a backgroud
Create a New Layer
Draw something on the transparent layer
Or open a transparent image.  Open as Layer

Each time you you change it, save as and name it name1.xcf Number each new image.
name2.xcf
name3.xcf
name4.xcf
You can use Save As or Export As, it doesn't matter.

When you are finished with creating all the frames nad you have saved them to your desktop, close everything, or file>close view.
Then, open them all "As Layers"
file>open as layers

Test it by going to >filters>animations>playback

If it looks good, then Export As
Change the extension to GIF. ie. name1.GIF
Be sure you are saving to Desktop

Click 'As Animation' in the console. Export

Test it, by clicking on the file on your desktop. It should open and play. They take a bit to open.

IF you want Transparency on an image!
Select>Invert
Layers>Transparency>Add Alpha Channel
Click delete on Keybord
If it deletes the wrong part of the image, go to Select>Invert and Delete again.
